Who We Are
Vehicles for Christ Outreach is a faith-based nonprofit that turns ideas into action, meeting real needs in communities that are often overlooked. Grounded in eight years of hands-on outreach in Washington, D.C. + local communities we deliver essential resources — clothes, supplies, food, and support — to people experiencing difficult life situations. We have extended that same care to remote indigenous villages in the Peruvian Amazon with plans to expand to other regions of South America and the continent of Africa.
We believe actions speak louder than words. We show our heart position with our actions and way of being, rather than by what we say. By pairing our on-the-ground programs with direct partnerships and full transparency in how every dollar is used, we hold ourselves accountable to our donors, our partners, and above all, the people we serve — building lasting trust and loving relationships, one act of service at a time.
Vehicles for Christ Outreach began in 2018 with a single donation bin inside a local gym and a simple ask: wash your extra blankets and socks, and we'll make sure they reach someone who needs them. What started as the Red's Blanket & Sock Drive has grown into an annual outreach reaching 200+ people experiencing homelessness across Washington, D.C. — and in 2026, we became a registered nonprofit, ready to formalize and grow the work we've been doing since day one.
For someone sleeping outside, a blanket isn't just fabric that provides warmth — it's a sign that there is still love in this world. . That same conviction is now carrying us further: to remote indigenous villages deep in the Peruvian Amazon, where families face hunger, sickness, and isolation with no safety net to fall back on. We believe every person deserves to be seen, whether they're on a sidewalk in D.C. or a riverbank in Peru.
What began with one flyer and one donation bin has grown into a deep calling: to be vehicles for God's love, however it needs to reach someone.
Don’t just speak about the change you want to see. Be the change.
